Serenity:

Noun| The state of being calm, peaceful, and untroubled.

“Feel serene” isn’t just a tagline. It’s how I approach my work as a Licensed Professional Therapist and it’s how I help each and every one of my clients.

Feel Serene Counseling exists to empower individuals in reaching their goals while finding peace and calm for themselves. I know a lot of individuals feel overwhelmed and anxious, relentlessly exhausted, and feel scared they are wounded somehow, and acutely feel the chaos that comes with unchecked boundaries and stress. I help you not by encouraging you to do more or be more, but by encouraging you to slow down and take stock of what you truly value and what you do not.

Because let’s be real: the focus is often on the other people in our lives that we’re supporting — whether that’s family, friends, or at work. I aim to turn the tables on this in our time together. I want to help you figure out how to make yourself a priority, and treat yourself with the kindness and compassion that you give to everyone else. I want to help you feel confident that you have the skills to calm your mind and body when you need it. I want to help you make all the relationships in your life more fulfilling, including the one you have with yourself. Our therapy session time is going to be dedicated to you and what you need for a change.

By getting extremely clear on what works for you, you can begin to let go of the things that are holding you back in order to maximize your joy, efficiency and effectiveness.

I’m non-judgmental and warm. I’m intuitive, very supportive and patient. I don’t approach our work thinking I have to “fix” you. You are not used to seeing your own inherent value and I will shed the light on you for a change.

I show up as genuinely as possible, because I believe our best work happens when we show up true to who we are with our own quirks and awkwardness – this means that sometimes we will laugh and cry, and sometimes things might get silly. I’m direct when I feel like it’s needed and won’t tiptoe around the work it takes to help you have a fulfilling life. I work best with people who feel ready to tackle the challenges they’re facing and are willing to put in the work to begin seeing changes.

In a safe and supportive environment, I help my clients regain their own personal power, balance, and understanding, which ultimately leads to more fulfilling relationships, improved life satisfaction, and better health.
