Setting Healthy Boundaries
To some people setting boundaries might have a negative connotation but it can actually be very beneficial to both people involved. Your relationships can flourish once you learn about your own feelings, needs and values and learn how to communicate these to others while maintaining respect and compromise.
In a supportive and empathetic environment, I explore your unique feelings, values and needs and guide you in ways to be more assertive and not aggressive or passive in your communication.
Through our work together you will notice that setting boundaries will also help you in managing your stress and anxiety, increase your self esteem, and improve your personal and professional relationships. I will help you in ways of communicating that feels comfortable to you and does not bring up images of fear or guilt.

Self Esteem: noun|confidence in one’s own worth or abilities; self respect
Sometimes people confuse self confidence with self esteem but they are different. For example, you can have confidence in your ability to do a task or your job but you might still have low self esteem or self love since you might believe that your value as a person lies only in your performance and ability to do something really well.
Self esteem is knowing you have inherent value and worth as a person regardless of your career, school performance, reviews, etc. We will work together to find your internal worth so that when difficult days challenge your spirit, you will know that you are worthy of self respect and compassion.

Therapy for Parents
As a parent, sometimes your needs come last. The constant needs of a child can make your needs feel insignificant for months if not years. It may feel like you don’t know who you are, or how to find time to find your new identity as a parent and as an individual.
There is no transitional time where a person experiences more change than when they become a parent. Especially for the person giving birth — your body has changed, you have lost a lot of the independence that you had before, and of course hormones can wreak havoc on your mental health.
With counseling, I’ll help you regain your sense of confidence and connection to yourself so you can start to feel like you again. I provide a safe, compassionate space where you can explore your concerns, strengthen your parenting skills, and increase your family’s well being.

Mindfulness Based Therapy
With so much stimulation surrounding us everyday from news, emails, social media, work, family, chores, etc., it is no wonder anxiety, depression, and burnout are at an all time high. Mindfulness will help to ground you and take you to a place of calm and recentering that is crucial for a happier life.
Being mindful is more than just paying attention to your environment or focused on tasks. Being mindful includes paying attention to the felt sense in your body with compassion and curiosity. Your body holds a lot of emotions, memories, associations inside but at the same time it holds all the answers if you learn how to stop and listen.
Through our work together, I will hold space for you to process and listen to your inner self. You will learn how to self soothe and self regulate and learn to listen to the wisdom inside of you. You will notice improved focus and concentration and increased self compassion that will help you in all facets of your life.

Therapy for Highly Sensitive People
You might have heard growing up that “you are too shy or sensitive” or maybe you’ve heard the following messages:
“grow thicker skin”
“stop over-analyzing”
“you’re being too dramatic or too emotional”
These messages can lead you to think that you are broken and that you don’t fit in with the rest of the people on earth.
The reality is there is nothing wrong with you! You are probably among the 15-20% of the population with the highly sensitive personality trait.
Through my empathetic support I will provide a place where you can be yourself and see your sensitivities as strengths that you can use in your life.
As someone who personally understands high sensitivity I will help you explore your sensitivity and help you develop effective coping strategies to manage over-stimulation, stress and intense feelings.
